The forum «WATER in Ukraine-2025: Under the Prism of Climate Change, War and Food Security» is initiated by the Professional Association of Environmentalists of the World (PAEW) and supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine.

Water is a key resource for the existence of all life on the planet, and it is also the lifeblood of industry.
In view of this, we need to learn how to use water resources rationally and sparingly, based on the principles of the circular water economy.

In view of this, we need to learn how to use water resources rationally and sparingly, based on the principles of the circular water economy.
Therefore, PAEW initiated this project to:
The forum will be dedicated to water policy in Ukraine and the EU, as well as the restoration of Ukraine’s water infrastructure.
We will discuss the experience of the EU and various European countries in creating appropriate and effective water legislation for the conservation and sustainable use of water resources. Methods and technologies of reconstruction, municipal water supply and water conservation in communities are to be addressed in the discussion as well.
In addition, a professional session will be held on industrial water use at industrial enterprises and the agricultural sector. Among other issues, we will focus on international experience in resource conservation and circular use of limited water resources, and the key role of water resources in ensuring food security.
Representatives of the governments and companies of the Netherlands, Israel, the USA, Austria, Germany, and others, as well as representatives of the Ukrainian agro-industrial complex, enterprises of other industries, municipal water utilities, equipment manufacturers, engineering, installation and service companies, research and design institutes, have been invited to participate in the forum.
The objectives of the forum are to launch a permanent high-quality dialogue between Ukrainian and European stakeholders in the water sector, to develop an action plan to further mobilize the efforts of Ukrainian stakeholders with international partners in the reconstruction and recovery of Ukraine, and to create a platform for communication and exchange of ideas, solutions and business proposals.
